You know who is a workaholic? Clint Eastwood. The dude is pumping out movies lately like nobody’s business. And the great thing? They are movies that actually don’t suck. So, not only does he work his bahookey off, but he picks his projects wisely. Check out this track record since 2003:
Mystic River (2003)
Million Dollar Baby (2004)
Flags of our Fathers (2006)
Letters from Iwo Jima (2006)
Changeling (2008)
Gran Torino (2008)
And now, in limited release in December, Eastwood directs Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight) and Matt Damon (The Informant!) in Invictus (Latin for “unconquered”), a drama that follows Nelson Mandela’s attempt to unite South Africa via the 1995 Rugby World Cup, all of which happened after his release from prison, the end of apartheid and election to President of South Africa. Matt Damon plays Francois Pienaar, the captain of the South African rugby team. No trailer yet for this movie, but you can see a biggie version of the poster by clicking the link above. Looks pretty good and since we know Clint’s track record, it should be good.
