Are you a fan of Stephen King’s short story THE MONKEY from his 1985 collection? If so, you’re in for a real treat with Osgood Perkins’ new film of the same name. Perkins’ continues his hot streak (if you haven’t seen 2024’s LONGLEGS you are missing out) with this gooey, dark, twisted, hilariously creepy adaptation of one of King’s finest short works of fiction. SKELETON CREW has really produced some gems over the years, including THE MIST, THE RAFT, and SURVIVOR TYPE to name a few. If you missed the KVNU For The People Movie Show on February 28th where I reviewed THE MONKEY, you can listen to the full show now. Bonus Review: I give Jason the 411 on PRESENCE, Steven Soderbergh’s take on the classic haunted house movie, which is now streaming.
