While everyone was arguing about tired ol’ Halo around these parts, the new Iron Man 2 trailer premiered. I bet Iron Man could beat Master Chief in a fight AND in a contest to get the most girls phone numbers. Those fools who say otherwise are just kidding themselves.

You won’t be able to see the first trailer for Iron Man 2 until Sherlock Holmes is released on December 25, but you can check out this sleek teaser poster, featuring the ever-anticipated War Machine. It’s hard to imagine that Iron Man 2 will suck, and I’ve already added this to my must-see films of 2010. The first movie was a pleasant surprise and I can never get enough Robert Downey Jr. The guy is a top-notch talent and it’s …
Aside from watching chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Jack Frost nipping at my nether-regions, I think I’ll be snacking on some popcorn and sipping a frosty Diet Coke at the theater and watching Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. A second trailer US trailer was released today and, even though not really showing us anything that new, it merely confirms to me that which I already assume: This movie is pure win. How can it not be? Guy Ritchie’s style …
This summer’s hit comedy “The Hangover” recently became the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time. Considering the movie had a budget of $34 million and subsequently raked in over $247 million, you can bet director Todd Phillips (“Old School”) is making Warner Brothers do cartwheels and backflips into a giant pool of sweaty money. It’s no wonder Phillips new comedy, “Due Date,” starts shooting this fall. “Hangover” star Zach Galifianakis is already attached and Robert Downey Jr has just …

As you probably know, it stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and the lovely Rachel McAdams. As you watch the trailer you’ll probably recognize a few other Ritchie regulars, including Mark Strong (“RocknRolla,” “Body of Lies,” “Stardust”). I think the trailer is enough mix of substance and tease to make this a surefire hit come December 25th. I can also say, being …
The Robert Downey Jr. lovefest has been in full swing since last year’s “Iron Man” and “Tropic Thunder,” and deservedly so. Downey Jr. has a natural charisma and fantastic acting chops that his drugged out years of disillusionment never stopped. Based on what I’ve seen in this “Sherlock Holmes” trailer, I have to say to both Downey Jr. and Guy Ritchie, “Bravo, sir.” This looks absolutely fantastic.
With summer coming at us with a serious barrage of highly anticipated odes to fiery destruction, firearms and the comedies that eschew either, it’s kind of tough to remember that about this time last year, Iron Man was surprising audiences and pocketing their money with giddy relish. The sequel to Iron Man is scheduled to arrive next year and director John Favreau and company have been hard at work in efforts to make it happen. To prove it, they’ve released …
