You know what makes the first full-length trailer for The Hangover: Part II so funny? Two things: First, I don’t ever not laugh when Zach Galifianakis’ character, Alan, says, “When a monkey nibbles on a weenus, it’s funny in any language.” And second, the trailer, which you can watch after the jump, was recently pulled from theaters because of said quote and said scene referencing oral sex from a primate. That’s right, folks. Snuggle up and smell the debauchery at Andy at The Movies.com. Our slogan is “censor this, douchebags.”
However, despite the allure of this short preview for a highly anticipated sequel, I do have my reservations, primarily this looks, thus far, as a cookie-cutter remake of the first movie, which is: Introduce the friends, friends get wasted, friends lose friend, friends set out to find friend, wackiness ensues, happy ending for everyone and hugs all around. If that’s the case, Todd Phillips fire and the rage for all things The Hangover – which was somewhat muffeled with last November’s Due Date – might completely be exinguished. As a huge fan of the first movie, I hope my Spidey Sense is tingling for other reasons not related to this very R-rated Memorial Day weekend comedy.
Check out the trailer and let your voice be heard.
