Lets get this out of the way. I hate 3D movies. I saw Chicken Little in 3D years ago and am still trying to recover from the experience. When it comes to 3D movies, I ask myself… Does a movie in 3D add anything to the story that wouldn’t be there in 2D? Most of the time, I think that answer is no. After watching Transformers 3 in 3D earlier this year I promised myself that I would never again …

Just got done watching the MTV Video Music Awards in anticipation of seeing my first look at footage from the highly-anticipated movie version of The Hunger Games, and all I have to say to the filmmakers is this: Seriously? WTF? I sat through a virtual two hour freakshow so I could see one minute of Jennifer Lawrence running through the woods, mingled with a little Liam Hemsworth voice-over and Rue’s four note whistle? That’s it? Wow. Just wow. This one …
First of all, I don’t get why they are called the Video Music Awards. Did somebody working for MTV type it backwards and had a rough day and the last thing they wanted to do was change it? That would make sense because when I’m at school and I’m way more tired then usual (I wake up at six in the morning people) and then I misspell something I am too lazy to change it. Anyway, some time during the …
After several months stalled at page 253, I recently finished Stieg Larsson’s first novel in his “Millennium Series,” The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and I am beyond happy I dug in my heels and finished this taut crime thriller. Larsson is impeccably deliberate and loves pacing the reader along methodically. My love of the book is making me super anxious to see David Fincher’s (The Social Network) movie of the same name, due in theaters on December 21, 2011. …
Manohmanohman. So here it is. Our first image from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel movie, the Superman reboot due in theaters on June 14, 2013, and I’m split between rolling my eyes at Henry Cavill (The Immortals) and his Kryptonian Mitt Romney hairdo, as well as his Superman suit, which looks more like something out of Joel Schumacher’s book of horrors than it does from Christopher Nolan’s book of everything-I-touch-turns-to-gold. However, with that said, I suppose that is the exact …
Entertainment Weekly revealed their recent cover of Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) from The Hunger Games movie a few days ago, and now they’ve dumped some more juicy images to turn every Hunger Games fan’s underwear into a moist towelette. That’s right. Grab your adult undergarmets STAT! Okay, that might be stretching the excitement a little too much, but the small gallery below should be enough to excite or anger fans of Suzanne Collins’ action packed dystopian novels, The …
A few months back our pals at Entertainment Weekly got us juiced and jazzed with our first images of Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: First Class) as Katniss Everdeen, the badass heroine of director Gary Ross’ (Seabiscuit) movie version of the bestselling novel, The Hunger Games – the first movie in a planned quadrilogy. Now EW gives us our first official glimpse at the two men in Katniss’ life – lifelong best buddy, Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), and the baker’s son and …
So you know how everybody was pooping there pants over how the new Superman movie Man of Steel was going to come out next year in December? Well bring out the tissues because they decided to postpone it for six months. I know it’s pathetic and I’m pretty sure they will come out with some explanation why, but I already put it on my calendar in pen. How am I supposed to get that out? Huh Hollywood? Even if I scratch …
