Does Clint Eastwood Ever Stop?

Not only is Clint Eastwood a superb director, but he is a hard worker. Seriously, the guy has been going non-stop with award-winning films since 2003 and Mystic River, which, I should add, he followed-up with Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Changeling, Gran Torino, Invictus and, due in 2010, Hereafter. With the exception of Hereafter, I dare you to argue that any one of those movies isn’t nothing short of stellar. You can’t. And

Cougars and Teens Rejoice! Twilight Coming to IMAX!

Oh, Nelly! Twihards are going to poop their pants over this news! Not only will fans of Edward Furrybrows, Jacob Wolfsack and Bella Sadpants be able to swoon and lust over their Stephanie Meyer-created crazy characters, but – BUT – they’ll be able to get their fix while watching The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on the very, very, very big screen of IMAX. Holy cuss! The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy) and

Tron Legacy Poster is Actually Not Lame

You know, for a movie I still think is going to suck the sweat off a dead man’s gut sack, this Tron Legacy poster is pretty sweet. The movie opens on December 10, 2010 and is directed by Joseph Kosinski. That’s not a household name to anyone but Joseph’s mother, but Halo fans might get a nerdgasm to learn he was the director of the “Starry Night” commercial that aired back in December 2006. This is Kosinski’s first feature film.

Death at a Funeral Remake Looks Promising

I’d be interested to see what Frank Oz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, What About Bob?) thinks about his 2007 British comedy, Death at a Funeral, being remade into a Tyler Perry-ized, Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence-starring comedy due in theaters on April 16, 2010. I can’t imagine he is super-hyped; I know I wasn’t when I saw the announcement last March. However, I will say this: After watching the trailer, even with my loathing of Lawrence, this remake could be pretty

New Moon Blind Sided by Bullock and Co. at the Box Office

Looks like the New Moon love affair, a pasty and depressing one at that, is over and people – families – are moving on to more uplifting entertainment. Yes, after three weeks at number one, The Twilight Saga: New Moon was booted from the box office top spot by The Blind Side, the true-to-life story of Baltimore Raven’s offensive lineman, Michael Oher and how he was taken in and loved by Tuhoy family. Sandra Bullock (The Proposal) stars as Leigh

Deathly Hallows Teaser is a Full Glass of Meh

Meh. Yawn. Sigh. Perhaps this 55 second teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will give Potterites chills and tingles, but it didn’t do squat for me. Frankly, this could have been spliced together from bits and  pieces of the last few Potter films and I wouldn’t know the difference, that’s how bland and vanilla this preview tastes to me. This was not a teaser. And what about timing? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is split into

Iron Man 2 Poster Reveals War Machine

You won’t be able to see the first trailer for Iron Man 2 until Sherlock Holmes is released on December 25, but you can check out this sleek teaser poster, featuring the ever-anticipated War Machine. It’s hard to imagine that Iron Man 2 will suck, and I’ve already added this to my must-see films of 2010. The first movie was a pleasant surprise and I can never get enough Robert Downey Jr. The guy is a top-notch talent and it’s

The New Moon Juggernaut Keeps Rolling

Love it or hate it, you can’t deny the New Moon train is rolling at full steam the last two weeks and, by all accounts, shouldn’t slip from the top spot until possibly December 11, when Disney’s The Princess and The Frog opens wide. For now, The Twilight Saga: New Moon has earned at hearty $230,947,696 domestically, making it the sixth highest grossing movie of 2009. Back to The Princess and The Frog – if early reviews are any indication,

Shrek Forever After Trailer in Front of Avatar

DreamWorks Animation is going to try and squeeze another dollar-flavored drip of ogre milk from the Shrek teat this May with Shrek Forever After. All of us will get an early sniff of Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Puss (Antonio Banderas), Fiona (Cameron Diaz) and Shrek (Mike Myers) when the teaser trailer debuts in front of Avatar on December 18th. Shrek Forever After reunites the entire gaggle of fairytale creatures from the last three movies, as well as introducing Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn),
