From the Files of Blah: New Twilight Eclipse Trailer Online

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse got a brand new trailer today – unveiled on Oprah – and while there isn’t any “I’ll fight for you until your heart stops beating” lines of love from six-packed lycans, there are certainly enough WTF moments to cause the Twitarded folks to scratch their heads and drool, which means there is enough nerd candy for the Twihards to suck on until June 30. I count myself, luckily, as Twilight illiterate, so I honestly had no

This Week’s DVD, Blu-ray and Cinema Offerings

It’s been slim pickings here at AATM review-wise for the last few weeks. Kick-Ass wasn’t screened for Utah-based critics and both Date Night and The Losers were screened during the day, which for two working-class stiffs like me and Dan is next to impossible to attend. At any rate and all excuses aside, here’s what you can look forward to this week: Opening in theaters on April 23: The Losers (PG-13) You can read Dan’s commentary on the poster here

The Losers is Confused and Likewise will Suck

Guess what movie is going to drop a little baby burp at the box office in a few weeks and then disappear into the underworld of inconsequential cinema? Not Furry Vengeance or The Back-up Plan, although those two abominations are deepfried in suck. No, I’m talking about The Losers. And why you might ask? Not because Hollywood is trying to force feed me Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Accidental Husband) as a leading man, or because I’m sick of seeing Chris

New A-Team Trailer and Poster Make Me Giddy for June 11

I didn’t watch The A-Team too much when I was a kid, but I knew the players – Face, B.A., Hannibal and Murdock. In fact, I think I actually had a B.A. Baracus action figure. My point is this – even though I enjoy Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and Jessica Biel, The A-Team movie wasn’t on my must-see list for 2010 summer movies. However, after watching the full-length trailer below, I am now circling June 11. The A-Team

Scarlett Johansson Black Widow Iron Man 2 Poster is Yummy

I just have no words for this masterpiece. Scarlett Johansson is absolutely stunning. Now, can she pull of portraying Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in Iron Man 2? We shall see. She definitely pulls off wearing that sexy black jumpsuit, that’s for  sure. Also, if you missed the newest Iron Man 2 poster, click here.

Trailer Tuesday: The Good, The Bad, The Weird

Korean Westerns are fantastic. Not that I’ve ever seen one, or if the idea’s even geographically/historically possible, but the trailer for The Good, The Bad, The Weird proves me an ignoramus. After a few years in the film festival circuit and making international rounds, The Good, The Bad, The Weird has nabbed a US release via IFC and on-demand. It’ll have a limited theatrical run, but will probably hit home video before long. Still! Don’t be put off by the

New Predators Trailer

Last week, fan pants were soiled when a behind the scenes teaser for Predators upstaged SXSW and quickly made its way to AATM. Not a week later, the teaser trailer hits, showing more scenes of running, sweating and nervous glancing. For its part, the trailer is pretty effective — even more so if you haven’t seen the teaser– but I’m not on board. Still. Robert Rodriguez, who’s not directing but has his fingerprints all over the project, isn’t a guy

Predators Sneak Peak = Cinematic Viagra

Oh man oh man oh man. How cool is this sneak peak clip from the upcoming summer release, Predators, directed by Nimród Antal (Vacancy, Armored) and produced by Robert Rodriguez (Shorts)? Ooooh, let me answer – pretty friggin’ cool. Opening on July 9, I just can’t imagine any way this movie won’t be pure awesome, and based off what I see of Adrian Brody (The Brothers Bloom), I think my assertion his casting was a great choice is more than

Twilight Eclipse Trailer = More of the Same

Twilight is what it is: Love it, hate it or care less. I don’t begrudge anyone their love for the series, but tend to hold coats in the “care less” line. The new trailer for the latest entry (directed by 30 Days of Night‘s David Slade and chomping at the bit for its June 30 release) doesn’t help, considering it could have easily been used for last year’s New Moon. Has such a simple story ever felt like its climax
