Despite almost being on Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 2) and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) overload, I’m beginning to shed my initial reluctance to director Todd Phillips’ new comedy, Due Date. After the second full-length trailer and this new redband preview, I have to admit, this looks hilarious.
Still, I think Due Date probably will fare better for Downey Jr. than it will for Galifianakis. Why? Look at Downey Jr.’s resume. The guy has talent and range; he can star in a drama, comedy, action or anything else you want to cram in between. Galifianakis, who was and is buyoed by his performance as Alan in The Hangover, is a funny actor, but his schtick is growing tiresome. Like Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell and the neighbor kid who has been coming over to your house everyday for the last month, Galifianakis will wear out his welcome and we’ll forget about him for awhile. Just long enough for him to come back and remind us why we loved him in the first place.
Take a peek at the redband trailer after the jump and let me know your thoughts.

This movie looks very funny. Has anyone seen it yet? If so what did you think?
It opens wide on Friday, so I’ll have a review up that afternoon. :)
